The Key Book Vs Movie

In the movie, “The Key” is portrayed slightly different from the book. Both scenes about Mrs. Nasrine’s son have the same general idea. Mrs. Nasrine talks about how upset she is that the regime gives out plastic keys in exchange for her son’s life. In addition, she also talk about her faithfulness to the religion. In the movie, however, there is more emphasis on Mrs. Nasrine’s faith. The director chooses to portray her character this way because it shows the conflicts between religion and the regime. For decades, popular novels have been published and years later followed with a film. Although the movie tends to portray imagery, the course of events in the book tend to contrast to those of the film. This became abundantly clear when I read the book and watched the movie, The Natural. In both the novel and the film, we learn about the life of a baseball player named Roy Hobbs, who was born with a talent and was given the ability to pursue his goal of life. Although his mindset was determined to break all the records in the game, many obstacles stood in his path ultimately skewing his priorities and driving him towards a path only ending with failure.…

The movie To Kill a Mockingbird, based on the novel written by Harper Lee showed the life of a child during the Great Depression and captured the theme of innocence taken away by evil. In most cases the book is always better than the film because life lessons are taken away in greater detail and are much easier to apply to a reader's life. Many movies stray from the book as did To Kill a Mockingbird, but also captured the scenes not shown in the book. Unlike the book, the movie had taken away the relationship that Boo Radley had with the children. One part of the book which was not shown in the movie was Mrs. Maudie's house fire when Boo Radley had draped a blanket over Scout’s shoulders while Jem and Scout were standing in the cold.…
