The results of the Jung Typology Test identifies my personality type as being ISTJ. These letters stand for Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging. The percentage I received for each of the letters ISTJ were (I) 12%, (S) 6%, (T) 1%, and (J) 16%. After reading the explanations of these traits, I tend to see my personality described by some and not by others. You could not really say it “hit the nail on the head”. This personality type is described as having a keen sense of right and wrong, which seems to imply being judgmental. I believe I am very tolerant of differing opinions and tend to keep an open mind. This personality type is also said to be devoted to duty and committed to punctuality. I am committed to living up to my responsibilities and obligations. I make every effort to be on time to appointments, and tend to be obsessive about …show more content…
I prefer to think of myself as reserved. Effusive emotional warmth is not a descriptor of the ISTJ type. Expressions of affection are sometimes difficult for me. My family has a tendency to restrain their display of emotion. ISTJs were also characterized as “performing at the highest level of efficiency when employing a step-by- step approach. I am most comfortable with this approach when mastering a task, solving a problem, or tackling an assembly. I believe step by step approaches are the easiest for me to complete. This descriptor was accurate as it related to my performance of tasks. Another descriptor of the ISTJ personality type seems to indicate a certain amount of intolerance with the inconsistencies and failure of others to keep commitments. I confess to a certain amount of impatience and irritation with low standards. I am at times disappointed in people who do not live up to my expectations and people who a fail to keep commitments such as plans to study or saying they are going to do something and they do not do

It is believed to be a trait having adequate influential capabilities in a workplace. When asked about their personality, most professionals cite examples from their present workplaces or past experiences explaining how individuals with “good” personalities had been instrumental in influencing and motivating their teammates in carrying out a particular piece of work. However, the question of quantifying the trait still remains undone, it being an abstract quality, differing from person to person.…

In the body of this essay I will examine the results of my Carl Jung and Isabel Briggs Myers’ typology personality test to not only fulfill the assignment requirements of this graduate school class but to also aide in further exploration of who I am. Ironically, on my social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram, my “About Me” section reads, “Trying to be true to myself by embracing curiosity, awareness and growth.” This is something I wrote long before “Organizational Behavior” came along and the proclamation is extremely fitting for this task. I will scrutinize my results no matter how freighting analyzing oneself can be to develop my best self. I am a 41-year-old African-American woman, with many other adjectives that can fill every…
