Personal Narrative: My Journey Through High School

The journey through High School could sometimes be difficult for some people, but for me it was all about having to shift my focus to school and do whatever needed to be done to insure that my schooling would have a positive impact on my future. My high school experience, as of now, has been pretty good considering that I had to make some changes to how I view education and its importance. Throughout the years I have noticed how there are many ways to reach your optimum performance in my school, and how there are many people that will help you get there if you just ask. Salazar’s statements did because by the end of the year I can absolutely prove that they were true. During the end of my first semester as a high school student all my finals were coming up when I have changed for the better throughout that first year, as I was prepared to work to get that A plus I wanted in all my classes. This was not the only change I had to go through though as I also realized I would have to get over my fear of stage fright, as many of the final exams required a presentation of some sort other than the regular paper test. I could picture my younger self shaking my leg before every presentation trying to calm myself down to do my best, and still I would try my hardest be the last one to present. I would get the feeling that a bolder was on top of me preventing me from getting up to present. My first high school finals were a big deal as they impacted your overall grade greatly, and so the pressure would build up inside of me and I would sometimes say to my classmate sitting next to me: “I think I want to go next so I could get it over
