The Write Journey
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to write for a living, be it part time or full time? If you have a love for the written word, then what’s holding you back? While I wouldn’t recommend immediately giving up your day job to pursue a freelance writing journey, I would still encourage you to take the plunge in your free time and build on it. The results may surprise you.
It took me years to discover my true self and what I was truly meant to be. It’s a funny thing, though, because it is something that I always knew in my heart all along. I am now and have always been a writer all along. It simply never dawned on me until a little over a year ago that I was skilled enough to gain employment with these skills.
I had always envisioned other paths for myself such as a nurse, a psychologist, a medical transcriptionist, customer service extraordinaire. Okay, I actually was a customer service queen for a number of years and I was quite happy doing it, but when you don’t follow your true path, it’s only a matter of time before you are re-routed back to the road where you ought to have been the whole time.
Taking the First Leap
Transforming your former self from hobbyist writer to paid freelancer takes time and a lot of guts to finally throw caution to the curb in order to make the leap over to the beaten path of uncertainty.
