On the tragic day of November 18, 1978, Jim Jones told his people to lay down their own lives. “We’ve had as much of this world as you’re going to get. Let’s just be done with it. Let’s be done with the agony of it”(Kim). Jim Jones, founder of Jonestown, leader of The Peoples Temple and the reason over nine-hundred people died on November 18.
