The Jeep Wrangler has been an American icon since it was invented for the Army in March of 1941. The simplicity and the rugged all terrain design of the vehicle made it ideal for use by the Army. The Army first ordered 1,500 BRC-40 to be manufactured by the Bantam Motor Car Company. After its widespread success, the Jeep Willies replaced its predecessor. Willis produced about 363,000 Jeeps and Ford produced some 280,000 for use in WWII. It is widely believed that the Jeep played a key role in America’s success in WWII.

The Jeep TJ was in production from 1997-2006. In addition to the TJ model, Jeep also produced an LJ model. The LJ model was released in 2003 along with the first Jeep Rubicon edition. With the production of the TJ coming to an end in 2006, Jeep owners wanted something new and …show more content…

The JK boasts a powerful and efficient 3.6L Pentastar® V6 engine rated at 17 city / 21 highway mpg. The 285-horsepower engine is ready to provide you with power that you need to go through anything. Personally I own A JKU. A JKU is the four door version of the JK. I love having this as a car because of how modifiable it is. Since I bought it stock about a year ago I have outfitted it with a Teraflex suspension lift, 35inch MTRk tires, Fox Racing Shocks, Poison Spyder stinger/ front bumper, offroad 50 inch LED light bar, and an Off-Road Hero’s Cargo Top. What I think is really cool about having a JK is how easily everything comes apart to modify or work on and how easy it is to get out and have fun with it. The ability to be able to go down backwoods trails and to drive through challenging obstacles I wouldn’t be able to walk through was a major selling point for
