In the United States, 1.21 million abortions occurred in the year of 2005, which roughly comes out to be 3 per day (4). Moreover, 1% of all abortions occur because of rape or incest, 6% of abortions occur because of potential health problems with either the mother or the child, and 93% of all abortions occur for social reasons (4). Ending an unborn baby’s life is not constituted by choice—no, it’s constituted by deliberate murder. First and foremost, slaughtering an unborn baby via abortion is wrong because an unborn baby is still biologically considered a human being. Pro-choice advocates support assertions, such as the prevention of overpopulation, exclusions of rape or incest victims, and constituting woman’s right to abort her own baby. However, pro-choice is disingenuous concerning the matters of abortion from the conclusions of science down to the very moral obligation we adhere to in society today—to not murder.
