If someone is happy with the company they work for, they will to be more likely to make more ethical decisions. “Research has attempted to address whether work-life balance contributes to job performance and employee well-being. Studies have evaluated ethical issues concerning implementation of work-life balance policies in the workplace (Frame & Hartog, 2003). Massive media attention focused on a study by Deloitte & Touche, a Big Four accounting firm, which showed a connection between work-life balance and ethical behavior (cf., Schurr, 2007; AFP, 2007; Meyer, 2007). According to this study, 91% of employees surveyed indicated that workers are more likely to act ethically if they have a good work-life balance. The chairman of the board at Deloitte & Touche, Sharon Allen, provides the following reason for the connection between ethics and work-life balance:
