How does a person live and survive without a gun? In the founding centuries of America, people survived by killing animals with weapons for food. If there was no creation of a gun then it would have set American ancestor back. According to the article, America has carried on the tradition of owning a gun because an article states that there are 88.8 guns per 100 people and there is a total of 270,000,000 guns in the U.S., which is the most per capita in the world. Also 22% of Americans own one or more guns (Gun Control). The 2nd amendment was created for a reason and that was for American citizens to have the right to bear arms. It was put as an amendment because it is a right that the people of America have.
Gun Control brings up a huge debate whether it should be enforced or not. There are points of the debate that are good and some that are bad. A lot of people say that if gun control was in effect at the time of the shootings that happened in schools and other public places that has had gun involved in the mass deaths of citizens. Then there is the other people that believe that the government should not be able to change the 2nd amendment and the people also say that the U.S. has always been associated with guns and other weapons. One of the problems that both sides agree with is that people that want to buy guns should have to get a thorough background check to make sure that the gun distributor is not putting the gun in the wrong hands.
