The Global war on modern terrorism in the United States and worldwide, face the growing number of terrorist attacks and the influx of Islamic refugees. This is becoming a growing concern for our country and citizens’ safety, and those of our allies. What this country has been doing, obviously is not working to defeat or to minimize terrorism here in the United States and abroad. This issue is important because the American people and the citizens of the world should not have to live in fear while going about their daily lives, or going out to special events. In this paper, we will discuss the following, origination of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and their ideology, issues we face, along with a possible solution. It will also take the participation of every citizen to assist the United States government and worldwide in defending against terrorism and terrorist attacks. Small contributions will aid and assist in minimizing terrorism not only in the United States but also around the world.
One of the founders of ISIS, Ahmad Fadhil Nazzal al-Khalaileh, also known as Abu Musab al Zarqawi from Zarqa, Jordan relocated to Iraq after the second Gulf War in 2003. During the United States invasion of Iraq, Abu Musab al Zarqawi utilized the Sunni’s deep despise and ideology against the Shiites to institute distress and to conduct terrorist activities.
