Although one may not be able to see how their current choices reflect the future, it is important to note that they attempt to succeed at everything they do as explained by Steve Jobs, “Again, you can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something- your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down and it has made all the difference in my life” (Jobs n. pag). One can find both fear and hope in not knowing what lies ahead, but he who recognizes that his thoughts today may be valuable tomorrow then they are much more likely to be aware of situations that may lead to success. Trust in their situation is a successful person’s driving force and may motivate and inspire more than one may initially realize. Although not an immediately obvious or first-considered trait, self- analyzation is critical to success, “Cognitive behavioral therapy, or C.B.T., involves using the conscious mind to understand and overcome unconscious fears and self-destructive habits, using techniques like “self-talk”- putting an immediate crisis in perspective by reminding yourself of the larger context” (Tough n. pag). The architecture of an individual 's mind is almost entirely reliant on past experience, and this architecture is critical to processing thoughts that go from memory to reality. The ability to react in the moment or think quickly and efficiently is the retention of past knowledge and skill therefore making one’s mind the ultimate resource. This efficiency can be marred but an over-input of toxic outside commentary, “Don’t be trapped by dogma- which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of other 's’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
