Have you ever had your mind blown? Many people of the world have not heard of the term the “Mandela Effect.’’ People who experience this find that they misinterpret memories about the world. ‘’The term it fits most with is “confabulation’’ which is a disturbance of memory which produces fabricated, disordered, or misinterpreted memories about the world, without the explicit or conscious intention to deceive others.’’ (Debunking Mandela Effects, n.d.) “Confabulations do not occur in response to a cue and seem to be involuntary.’’ (Foundation, n.d.) For example people will find that they look at a brand name and their logo and find something that they have never noticed about it before, or something it used to be and compare it to the new and improved logo. So many people have come together through the internet and discovered that they all have the one thing in common, their memories and opinions on what they think happened. There are so many theories about this one topic. The “Mandela Effect’’ all surrounds a guy named Nelson Mandela. “Nelson Mandela was a South African activist and former president. He helped bring an end to apartheid and has been a global advocate for human rights.’’ (Staff, 2009) Nelson was later imprisoned for wonderings of sabotage and conspiracy to overcome the government. He was sentenced for life. Nelson Mandela had been pronounced “dead’’ while he was in prison in the 1980s. He then was pronounced “dead’’ again in 2013. “Nelson Mandela died in…
