“Nothing is perfect. Life is messy. Relationships are complex. Outcomes are uncertain. People are irrational.” This quote was said by Hugh Mackay, the founder of an Australian quarterly research series, The Ipsos Mackay Report. Everyone has different feelings on what a healthy relationship looks like. Some believe you should never fight and always be happy with each other. Others believe in tough love, in order to make the most out of someone you have to push them to their limit. The reality, however, is that the first example is not a realistic expectation. Humans are not perfect which means there will either be conflict or disagreement, even if the relationship consists of lovers or lifelong friends. The texts Romeo and Juliet as well as

How many times has a person wondered what love controls and effects in life? However, when people look broader into the topic of love they find something that affects love more than we think, and that is conflict. The modern day society looks around and sees the connection of love and conflict everywhere they go. Although this is one of the most common aspects of our modern day life it was also very prominent in ancient times and even early modern ages. Even love and conflict seem like opposing forces they have properties that tie them together like the very fact they are opposing forces, love is a very disagreeable topic and many other people will have opinions and think different about love, also love blinds people and the people can get so wrapped up in love they don’t focus on things they should which all of these in turn all of these can easily lead and cause conflict.…

We are all imperfect, and these imperfections are what define us as humans, but some flaws can be lethal and escort one to their death. A Shakespearean drama is never complete without protagonists and major characters being fatally flawed in some way or another. The story of Romeo and Juliet by William Shakespeare is not exempt from this trend. Both Romeo and Juliet were tragically killed by the flaws that made them fall madly in love. Romeo’s spontaneous decisions based purely on his hormonal impulses paired with Juliet 's blind love and effortlessly won faith is what leads to the “Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet”.…

Rogerian Argument There are two different perspectives of causes to a successful relationship. The first is communication, trust, support, and honesty; the second perspective is an entitlement, showering of gifts, no fighting, and finding quick solutions to major problems. Although, both perspectives show very understandable reasoning individually, each cause evens the other out. Lauren states that having a sense of entitlement, being showered in gifts, having zero fights, and finding quick solutions to major problems all contribute to a successful relationship.…

Conflict is bound to occur between two people, you just need to ask yourself how you are going to view the issue at hand. There had been many times throughout this year that problems had come up in friendships and relationships. I made the mistake of labeling some of the dilemmas as a threat. If something were to go awry, I felt as if it threatened the relationship. My mentality of that basically ruined the friendships, along with other factors.…

Relating some philosophy on our chosen novel- One of the philosophy I chose to relate Romeo and Juliet with is "if love be rough with you, be rough with love." And this kind of philosophy is Realism because realism philosophy is the belief that some aspects of reality are ontologically independent of our conceptual schemes, perceptions, linguistic practices, beliefs and many more. What I understand about the stated quote above is if you love someone, go after them no matter how hard it is. Don't let love get you down; be better than it; put yourself out there and get what you want. If love is making your life difficult, don’t give up easily and fight for what you love because an act of fighting means you’re aiming to win or be successful and if you get that success in love, you’ll be much happier.…

Many people have said “If two people truly love each other, they will find a way to make it work.” This quote is a prime example of how Romeo and Juliet would do anything to make it work between them. The story “Romeo and Juliet”, authored by Shakespeare, shows how two people loved each other so much that they would rather take their own lives before living without each other because Juliet’s dad was too strict, forced her to marry a man she didn’t love, and drove her to fake her death. Because Romeo and Juliet both died, Lord Capulet should be blamed and punished. One of the reasons Lord Capulet should be punished is because he was way too hard and strict on Juliet, which made her confused.…
