The Industrial Revolution refers to the point in time between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries where changes occurred economically, technologically, socially and culturally. The Industrial Revolution was based around using machines to do the same work that people, animals, and naturally occurring objects were used for. During this time, many practical and useful machines were invented, the steam engine, for example.
