Essay On 19th Century Inventions

What is the most influential invention of the late 19th century? Well, there are many choices to choose from. There is the light bulb/electricity which is mainly associated with Thomas Edison, the airplane created by the Wright Brothers, the telephone created by Alexander Graham Bell and his partner Thomas Watson, and the automobile/assembly line which is mainly related to Henry Ford. These people and their inventions have had an unbelievable effect on our world today. I cannot imagine this world without any of these inventions. There are many prominent inventions of the late 19th century, but I truly believe that the automobile is the most significant one. I believe that transportation with the automobile is more important than communication with the telephone because there are other means of communicating, but the automobile allows for the easiest access of transportation. Also, the automobile is more prominent than the lightbulb/electric generator because one could just use sunlight or candlelight instead of electricity and the lightbulb. Lastly, I believe that the automobile is more prominent than the airplane because the airplane is for long distance transportation and shorter distance transportation is more useful on a daily basis. So, finally, I believe that the automobile is more influential than the telephone, light bulb/electric generator, and the airplane, and is therefore the most influential invention of the late 19th century. I think that the automobile will still be more prominent than them in the late 21st century too for the same reasons, but also because maybe by then cars can drive
