Alexander Bell: The Rise Of Inventions

Since the primordial times, the humanity felt the necessity to devise tools that would facilitate their daily activities. In a time where the world was craving for new devices, the inventors appeared. However, the rise of inventions is not limited to today’s world, and to understand that we should first define what an invention is. From my understanding, an invention is nothing more than a complex process of creating a new device; to rephrase it, when someone invents a tool, he or she is bringing innovations or enhancing specificities that were missing in that tool. The invention of the telephone did not promote only economic changes but also psychological. For instance, after the invention of the telephone the society needed to be more prepared to listen to another person while he or she was talking (Kang). It means that the rise of telephone induced to a change on people’s behavior. They have evolved so drastically, that tasks that were only performed by computers now can be performed by one of the most basic smartphones. For instance, nowadays exists an infinite of applications that we could implement in our phones that can help us in our daily activities.
