The setting for example, and the movie being created in French. The film being created in Paris allowed people to see a rich man and an African-American from the projects come together which is very unusual to see in France. Diversity in America is a little more common, while screening this movie in France added another unusual element to the movie. Even though the two people had differences in their economical settings and social status, they were able to look past that and become incredibly good friends. Seeing people be able to not only stray away and be different from social norms within a society, but to being impactful on each others lives and changing them for the better makes for a truly inspiring …show more content…
Philippe may have physical impairments, but the way that he views life and enjoys humor is no different then that of Driss or other human beings. The life that Philippe wants to live through driving in the fast car, paragliding, jokes, etc., helps us to see Philippe as wanting to be seen as normal and for no one to feel sorry for him. Philippe has the physical impairment, but that doesn’t mean he is having any less fun than Driss. Driss is scared of the paragliding but Philippe reassures his friend that it is okay. This also allows the viewers to see that just because Philippe has a disability it does not mean he stands as any less of a person. He still enjoys things that are fun and
