The institution of education, a school, is meant to promote the fundamentals of enlightenment or at least prepare the younger generations for the real world. There are times where the grade school world clashes with that of the real world. In these instances, whether it is a fire, a shooting, etc. it is the duty of the instructor to protect and attend the welfare of their apprentices. Primarily focusing on the school massacres that involve concealed handguns and assault rifles, should the instructor be able to have proper tools to provide protection? Coming from the logical side, yes, an approved teacher should be given all tools necessary to provide the best for their students.

Concerning the information given for the prompt, a Texas Lt. Gov. decreed that local school districts are allowed to approve certain teachers with the right to carry a concealed handgun. This is not an issue that should vary from state to state, this is a federal crisis. Therefore the federal government is responsible for administering the same test to all of the states. One can look at the state constitutions that are active in each of the states and see how much variance there is among them.
