Douglas MacArthur was a great and inspirational leader that fought in the first and the second world war as well as the Korean war. He became a general almost at the start of his military career for his services of the U.S military. He is easily an inspirational leader in the way he did his duties in his military life with his fullest ability. He did what he said he would do and he made sure it was done. Douglas MacArthur is an inspirational leader in what he did in the military and for how he does everything in his life to the fullest ability till it is complete. In addition to that, he affected individual people 's lives. In his younger life he graduated the top of his class from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.This shows hard work …show more content…
In 1937, he learned that he was scheduled to return for duty in the United States, so this caused him to resign from the military, “stating that his mission wasn’t finished.” (History.com Staff) He stood up for what he felt was right and made sure that he did it. “Whatever I have done that really matters, I 've done wearing it.” (Douglas MacArthur) This lets him get more of an influence with the Filipino people and its government. He quit what he has been doing all his life to stay and help the people of the Philippines. Some may say that he should have stayed with the U.S government to help back home, he helped a county in a more dire need of help and was selfless about it.
