The Innkeeper probably learns from that experience was to not overprice people for their money. In the passage the author states that the Innkeeper tried to charge the farmer four thousand kroner for chicks that never existed. So when the farmer found a lawyer to go to the judge and try to make sense of it all the judge realized that the Innkeeper was showing greed and deception. So the end result was the judge told the Innkeeper to pay the lawyer and the farmer fifty dollars.
The tone created by the author’s words and phrases in paragraphs ten through twelve is sarcasticness. In the passage the author states that he was late because he was planting boiled corn. I know this because the lawyer states “ I lost track of time while I was boiling
