Candy Brain, with the front stage lined with giant lollipops, started off the show. Bunny Abbit (vocals), Anton Silv (guitar), Rachel Zyats (keys) and Chelsee Chaos (bass) are the four that make up this industrial punk band. With the release of their debut album “The Inkwell” right before the tour, the set list was full of sweetly disguised nightmares. The ominous “music box” melodies and dreamed-up electronics drifting in the background are present in almost every song. Paired with Abbit’s soft voice. Headed by Steven Juliano (vocals), Ryan Heggum (lead guitar, vocals), Angela Peyton (guitar), Corey Cota (bass) and Ryan Loomis (drums). This was also their first national tour of any kind. Heggum with his screaming vocals paired with his waning guitar pulled out the heavy metal attributes in their music. One of the songs that really struck me and displayed a softer side to their music was "Empty Beds In Hospital Rooms". It was written about a childhood friend Juliano lost. Not only could you hear the emotion in his voice but you could also see it. With so many on the stage, it did seem a tad crowded but it did not stop the members from dancing along.
