Children spent most of their time outdoors playing games. Children were outside most of the day. Children played outside and with other children in their school and their neighborhood for hours that keep the children active these games were tag,foursquare,capture the flag,kick the can,and hide and seek(Williams). Children played with their friends and their little brother or sister could play with them in the field after they got out of school(O'Brian). People in the 60s enjoyed fishing,bike riding,and young adults and teens enjoyed skateboarding(Turner). Transition Secondly, Children played many games outside. Children were supposed to play outside. When they played they did not use a lot of equipment they used their imagination(Moore). Children were always moving they were playing in the streets, at the school playground,and at the park(“Children Outdoor Games”). Game systems were simpler and games were less complex than today’s video games(“Video Games in the 60s VS Today”). Bear has been considered the father of videogames for a long time in the 60s he made the “first video game” (“the Father of the Video Game”). Thirdly, TV was a part of daily life in the sixties. Tv today is sometime watched or it is not, but in the 60s it was a daily thing to watch tv(“1960s Television”). In the 1960s producers of tv underestimated the audience for the programs on the tv(Leopold). Tv did not start being broadcasted with color until the mid-60s everything before this was in black and white(Phipps).
