My experience as a first generation American, who identifies with disparate cultures, grew up a latch key kid infatuated by television, and has an immense passion for helping other people, has colored the way I see the world. Years from now, I see myself prospering at the intersection of media and technology. I see both as some of the most powerful tools we have for social change and equity. Media and entertainment shapes the world that we live in. It influences our conscious and unconscious thoughts. It educates and ‘miseducates’ us. It can dictate what we give value. Technology is the way in which the world speaks. It has shaped societies, governments, and cultures, and continues to do so. In the future, I see myself opening up my own media
