As a Democratic senator with a PhD in education, I would gladly help the newly reelected Republican President work out an education bill. If one of the President’s policy priorities is improving education, I could use my expertise in the field to formulate an effective education reform. The President would enjoy his or her advantage of implementing a new policy. However, my Democratic Party would object to the increase of power given to the President, for fear of Republican ideals overtaking more policies. Although the Democratic Party would oppose the compromise with Republicans, I would incorporate my Democratic beliefs to balance out the Republican President’s ideas and form a bill that would appeal to a majority of both parties in Congress.…

It is demanding excellent education for all” “It implies an end to the double standard and education in education, a double standard that gives high quality teaching to students and exclusive suburbs and inferior schooling to children in slums, they give preference to some states over others” You would think that this quote by Francis Keppel, in 1965, then the Commissioner of Education, who was the driving force behind the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 could have been quoted by Precedent. George W. Bush as he was implementing No Child Left Behind act of 2002. So what does the Elementary and Secondary Act of 1965 have to do with the No Child…

Jobs’ speech informs the graduating class of Stanford University about his failures such as how he “never graduated from college” (1) and how he “[got] fired from a company [he] started” (2). It is necessary for the audience to hear about failure because every college graduate will experience failure at some point in their lives. It is appropriate to discuss those failures because the graduates will feel better knowing that someone like Steve Jobs experienced failure and still found success. Steve Jobs’ commencement address builds his credibility by being honest with…
