When Oprah Winfrey stated “Luck is a matter of preparation meeting opportunity” I believe she was making an attempt to inspire people based on her opinion and life experiences. Oprah Winfrey is a very success woman with a long lasting career in television. I have to assume that Oprah did not get to where she is at based on luck alone. With this quote, Oprah is making a bold statement that without preparation, all the luck in the world will not get you to where you dream to be. As I digest the intent behind this statement and look back on my own life experiences, I have to say that I completely agree with Oprah.
