The Influence Of My Personal Perspective On Child Guidance Theory

My personal perspective on child guidance theory would be closely related to the constructivist approach. The reason I can relate to this approach is because I believe early childhood should be about learning experiences, rather than academic learning or forced learning. Children need to explore and understand the world around them, they need to freely express their thoughts, however, at the same time the adults or teachers can step in and take the lead in the child’s play experience (Miller, 2016). When early childhood educators (ECE) provide stimulating environments that engage in the children's interest, this is when the child will know their voices are being heard and respected from the teacher.
