Schonert- Reichl, Amishi Jha, Margaret Cullen, Linda Wallace, Rona Wilensky, Eva Oberie and Kimberly Thomas did a study (2013) on how mindfulness training can help reduce teachers stress and burnouts. Stress to teachers can because when they are requested to complete many tasks in a short amount of time Teachers can feel overwhelmed and unmotivated to better their relationship with students. When stress has taken place teachers begin to not invest time and effort within the classroom. Mindfulness Training (MT) is designed to help teachers cope with stress. In the experiment, 113 teachers selected at random from elementary and secondary schools participated. The time frame for the experiment was about three months including a follow-up. In the study, many teachers felt as if the training did reduced stress. The Mindfulness Training also improved a teacher’s attention and memory capacity, professional outlook upon themselves, and technique to reduced stress. Understanding a students’ behavior can help a teacher created lessons that are easily comprehensible and help students in times of need. Learning to enforce good behavior through reinforcement can allow teachers to motivate students to do their foremost. Teachers can also learn what is causing other teachers the most stress and the best strategies to deal with it. Teachers will know that programs such as Mindfulness Training are available to them. Learning about the psychology concepts: personality, motivation, learning, and stress help teachers understanding how to deal with students within the classroom and stress. The psychology concepts depend on another and can affect each other. When stress has taken place, teachers output to motivate students can decrease. This can be shown by the students’ behavior and outcomes on their report card or test.
