After I read the article on how carcinogens are being found in processed meat, I began to think about how much meat I eat a day. I have come to relive that I normally eat a type of processed meat at every meal. Jeffrey Kluger, an everyday writer for Times Magazine, wrote this about how we should watch what we eat and how we cook it. He catches the readers attention when he says sizzle because people immediately think of food and how good it smells and taste. "That sizzle signals trouble. Meat cooked at high heat can produce carcinogens." (The War on Deliciousness Pg 34) So all the restaurants that serve "Flaming burgers" or "Flaming Steaks" are putting its customers at risk of developing cancer. I find this very difficult to believe. Why are we only learning about this now. I believe that people should of studied this earlier in the generation of humans. Or maybe they did study this. Humans just don 't care. They would rather take the risk of developing cancer in the future for a delicious Big Mac at McDonalds. People risk there lives everyday just so there tastebuds are satisfied. We wonder why the obesity rate rises. People could care less what the researchers study and develop. These researches spent more than likely 4 plus years in school. We can not make a person act or think in such a way. At the end of the day human understand that being a stubborn person is what they are, but they should listen to the ideas of people who are potentially saving their lives. After reading these Times Magazine articles, I have understood a lot more about the intellect of other humans. How they react to an idea or how quickly they are to judge a decision. Human should embrace the intelligence of others. Understand the facts that are presented to everyone and use them to an advantage. The world is becoming a smarter place day by
