The president recently has issued an executive order on illegal immigration. It removes the fear of deportation and gives work permits. The executive president wanted this order because he wanted illegal immigrants to get jobs and be productive in today’s society, instead of working here illegally. There are about 11 million illegal immigrants currently living in the U.S. According to the constitution the president does have the right to make an executive order. If the House of Representatives or the senate feels that the executive order is against his authority they have the right to question it. Illegal immigration is estimated to be costing taxpayers over $100 billion while only paying $9 billion in taxes. The government pays for things such as education, medical care, security, childcare, temporary assistance to needy families and school meal programs for the illegal aliens.
If harsher measures were taken on these illegal aliens than today’s unemployed and underemployed citizens and legal residents will have greater opportunities. Although this does help the illegal immigrants it would keep many U.S. citizens from getting jobs. Illegal immigrants …show more content…
The president might be trying to accept these citizens and give them an opportunity to make a better life for themselves, but working illegally in these low paying jobs wasn’t making a better life for these people and families. He is probably encouraging the illegal immigrants to do everything legally. The illegal immigrants should be treated like human beings and should be given an opportunity. Write about profits that the order brings to the United States such as it lets the government tax the people who used to work here illegally and now instead of having to get paid under the table the government can tax/charge them.
