Prior to this post I too never really thought about the ways in which I do gender personally, or anyone else. In your post you made it very clear that growing up you were a girly girl and enjoyed engaging in feminine activities, which is why I think you still enjoy doing so now. I grew up the same way, which are the main reasons for the way I do gender today. It’s like something we become accustom to overtime and carry with us in life. I can say that we do gender in similar ways, in exception the high heels part! I commend you and any other woman who is able to wear them work Monday through Friday! I mean don’t get me wrong, I love to wear them, but only occasionally. Now that I have a daughter, I see how the way I do gender has an influence
