The American Revolution was unavoidable, In 1765 the American Revolution began and never stopped until 1783, the war was fought by the original 13 Colonies and Great Britain. George Washington led the colonies to the independence of Great Britain. Before the American Revolution so many other wars and issues that led up to the Revolution. Land ownership, Reaction to taxes, Patrick Henry and Thomas Paine’s messages, are some of the causes that made the Revolution inevitable. Long before the Revolution many problems one of them being land ownership. The French and Indian War initiated because of this issue. Since the British had so much debt to pay they started putting taxes on anything and everything they could think of. They started passing acts that were unreasonable, such as the Sugar Act limiting what sugar products colonists could buy & sell (taxed sugar). The Stamp Act said that colonists could only use paper with a special stamp on it. Every page of paper paid a tax to get the stamp, and the Quartering Act colonists had to pay for housing or allow them to stay in their houses. Colonists started getting mad and the British didn’t understand why.
