My topic is about the inevitability of death and how it affects the character. I chose this topic because i assumed that it would be present present through the whole book. The setting is during world war II. Men were drafted into the war instead of choosing to enlist. this fact alone lets me know that most of the men that are apart of this war are not their because of patriotism but by force and are not ready for the hardships that are in war.
