The Ineffective Behavior Of Students In Middle School

When I was in middle school, I was teased a lot because of my name, Tushaar. Students in my school called me Tush or Tush-butt, short for buttocks. Some twisted my name in other ways and called me Tissue or Tissue box. They would laugh and make fun of me in classrooms, lunch and recess.
I couldn’t hear the end of it even while walking in the hallways. Riding the school bus became stressful. This lasted for a couple years. I felt belittled, and even humiliated. I was ineffective in hiding my hurt emotions. Lacking any coping skills, once I got so upset that I cried to my mother, which resulted in a trip to the school counselor. I felt guilty telling on my classmates, some of whom were my friends. Later, my parents taught me how to deal with
