I have finished reading “The Edible Woman” By Margret Atwood. Continuing on from my last journal much has happened in the novel. Marians eating problems have rapidly become worse. Marian has unintentionally eliminated most foods from her diet, unable to eat the foods she once enjoyed. Her inability to eat has understandably made her feel like there is something wrong with her making her question whether or not she is normal. In preparation for their wedding Peter throws an engagement party. He suggests that Marian get her hair done and buy a new dress which Marian doesn’t like. This makes Marian feel pressured. As the party nears, Marian realizes that it is only peter’s friends who have been invited to the party. In response to this thought
