Besides from globalization, development of science and technology also plays a big role. In most of the companies, enterprises put a lot of efforts into improving efficiency and pursuing low costs. As a result, with the improvement of technology, most of the non-technical jobs are gradually replaced by machines, robots, automation, and software. Because of all these technological machines taking over tasks that human used to work for, this significantly reduced the needs of human resources in the production lines, which leads to a rise of unemployment. Thus, we can see that the rich are getting richer while the poor is getting poorer in nowadays society, and the income inequality keeps on expanding overtime all around the world. Except for the discontinued schooling problem for children from low-income families resulting from the income inequality, discontinued schooling also evolves into the problem of increasing social crimes, even leading to the formation of anti-social thoughts and behaviors due to the dissatisfaction of the social inequality. According to the most recent data from the U.S. Bureau of Justice, “56 percent of federal inmates, 67 percent of inmates in state prisons, and 69 percent of inmates in local jails did not complete high school. Additionally, the number of incarcerated individuals without a high school diploma is increasing over time” (“Crime Rates”). In order to meet one’s daily needs and the basic living quality, people need to work and gain money for all these basic needs. Yet, when individual from low-income family that does not have enough money to pay for his/her education, a large percentage of them cannot find a good-paying job, which turned out to be the lack of money to meet the basic needs of human survival. For example, most of the big international criminal organizations are in poor countries, such as the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), because of their anti-social thoughts, they launched several terrorists’ attacks that harmed thousands of people around the world. On top of that, our democratic society is based on people, if everyone can show respect to each other and recognize the perspective of the society, then democracy can work well in a country. On the other hand, if there are people who have anti-social thoughts deep in mind, they may gather together for protests and spread the anti-social thoughts to other people quickly, which may threaten our democratic society and lead to its
