There isn't just physical symptoms to alcohol addiction other symptoms include when it starts to affect the everyday live of the individual, having to take in more alcohol than before is also one, drinking while knowing you are hurting relationships you have with people because of the drinking, using alcohol to deal with problems/stress, not having occasional night time drinks, and starting to drink during the day time, having no self control and it becomes a focal point in your life is another symptom that you are an alcoholic. There is also withdraw symptoms which can be some of these; withdraw when less alcohol is consumed, withdrawal symptoms can include anxiety, shakiness, seizures, fever, rapid heartbeat and others. It's a life altering disease if you let it be, it ruins families, and relationships with people around you. Being an alcoholic is fighting a battle everyday to not go have a drink. I've came to conclusion that people with this disease are strong when they get sober and that getting sober is extremely hard to do. To me Bob Probert was a star and he had pressure on him his whole life, he turned to drinking, drugs and girls. But by the end of his life he found himself, he found his family and turned it around.
