The Importance Of Writing MLA Bibliography

I hear that you will not be coming back next year, and because I never got to thank you in person I would like to do so now. You taught me many things that I was able to use in my classes after 9th grade. I recently took an FBLA test which required me to write MLA bibliography and I thought of you. However, many of the things I learned from you were not graded. They were things such as the importance of knowing how to write an email to a teacher, or knowing how to prioritize some work over other work. Of course I know how to write a proper five paragraph essay now, but the things you taught me indirectly are the things I use and value the most.
Before 9th grade, English class was very easy to me. I had heard that you would be

Dear, Kimmie During my revision process I realized how much I have grown as a writer, I went from someone who was just good enough to get an A in every other English class, to someone who had to try his butt off for the A. This in turn let me learn more in an English class than I ever had before and also let me grow into the prospering writer you see before you today. I learned many things this year that helped really push my writing to the next level that it needed to go, in order to be at that collegiate level. So for that I say thank you, because if it weren’t for you I would be stuck at Nampa with a teacher who mediates in her class. And this would not have let me grow as a writer whatsoever, leaving me stuck in the same old pattern of…

For example, I knew how to create a goal but not a detailed one were its something I’m actually going to try. Like, on binder checks those goals we set I tried to achieve them so overall those helped to improve my binder check grades or even my Cornell Notes. One of the examples I saw on the WICOR board was mental preparedness and I was surprised because I actually do that. Reading-Reading has helped me become a better student because now I am not only able to read books on my reading level but above it as well. The more I read this year the more I grew with knowledge and understanding.…

My experience in the Mary Poppins cast has been probably one of the best things to happen to me so far in my life. At my old school in 10th grade I was in theatre, then the following year I was bullied out, and I desperately missed theatre. It was my life, I enjoy it so much and it is such a part of me. So coming here and deciding to audition on just the second day of school was a really big deal for me. I was absolutely terrified to, but I stuck through and did it anyways, and I am so happy that I did.…

I also knew it, but I was lazy and careless. I am thankful that I have grown up and that I have begun to respect all of the opportunities given to me in life. The areas that I have improved in are definitely my study habits, and not being afraid to ask my teachers for extra help. I used to be afraid that my teachers would think I am stupid, and that they would judge me if I admitted to them that I didn’t know how to do something, or that I couldn’t do a problem. But I have recently grown to realize the it is essential to the learning process to ask your teacher 's question.…

    Scholarly Writing Style

Over 15 years ago, Robert Nash (2011) developed a new academic writing style called Scholarly Personal Narrative (SPN). For the first time in academics the unacceptable use of the ‘subjective I [me]’was acceptable in scholarly writing. Before SPN only the ‘objective they [we]’ was appropriate for research because scholars believed that only experts could support an agreeable or disagreeable topic. Nash (2011) wanted SPN to become, “a respectable research genre in higher education, particularly in the professional schools” (p. 4), so he wrote his first book, Liberating Scholarly Writing: The Power of Personal Narrative (2004).…

My tenth-grade experience summed up in one word would be “impactful”. It impacted me in a way that my previous school years could never compare to. The past few years in school involved compliments from teachers who believed I had the work ethic and the smarts to be put in an honor’s class. Only for them to never put me in an honor’s class. The phrase “you should be in the honor’s classes” rung repeatedly in my head to the point where it didn’t seem like a compliment anymore, it seemed like a constant jab at the fact that I wasn’t in the honor’s classes.…

Now that my year at North Cape is coming to an end it seems unrealistic.…

English composition was never my strong nor favorite because of my knowledge of the grammar and organization in my writing. Taking English 101 is a jump start for me, because last year of high school my teacher focused primarily on English literature. The course has introduced me to rhetorical analysis, and swatching (imitating author argument). Throughout the semester and all of the papers written I can say that it was a good experience to write at a college level and the expectation from college professors is good for future courses that involve writing essays.…

Dear 10th grade English Teacher, I, Kelly Kwong will be a tenth grader next year and I look forward to learning new techniques and better ways to write essays and papers in English class. For ninth grade English, I took honors and I thought it was a balance like a triple beam. Assignments from time-to-time was either hard or easy. I did complain about the work but getting more work makes me determined for next year because I know what is expected of myself and how much I should be doing. Am I and was I the biggest fan of English class?…

First and foremost, thank you for taking time out of your day to reading this application. I have spent many hours thinking of what to write in this section, ever since I was given the withdrawal status back in the winter term. Hopefully by the time you finish reading this explanation, you will realize what happened to me, and how I have changed from the child I was, to the person I was always meant to be through the understanding of my epiphany. Hopefully, I will be able to persuade the committee to allow myself back into your prestige university. Also, forewarning, this explanation may seem bleak, but this is the reality.…
