A person is high in praise one minute and not cooperating in praise the next minute. Horness points out one of C. S. Lewis comments on "great worship is simply a great response to who he is." Many people come to church hurting with a broken, contrite spirit and sometimes along with the word of God, music ministers and elevate people to another level in Christ.
Therefore, the blended worship view is crucial and fits the traditional style of religion, because, in spite of a broken spirit, the people of God are encouraged to worship Him with an authentic heart. While praising God for who, He is and what He has done and doing pleases God and helps the individuals to press forward; because this draws a person close to Christ.
