As many people know working in any health field is not an easy task. There are many life to death situations and decisions needed to be made to save a person’s life. The schooling is long and hard, and can take many years to accomplish one degree. These factors scare a lot of people away from working in the health field, but they don’t always see the good in it. You could save someone’s life, you’ll most likely always have a job and the pay is well enough to be able to make a living on your own. In this paper you will learn about four different possibilities in the health field and many important things to fulfill the tasks needed to work in that field. A registered nurse works with all kinds of patients from someone with a serious disease to someone that has a cold. Their work environment includes hospitals, doctors offices, home health care or nursing care facilities. They provide and coordinate patient care, which means they give them care if needed and plan out what they need to do to recover from their illness. An RN also helps doctors during exams and surgeries. An RN is the person you will most likely see when you first go to the doctors or hospital. They record medical history and find out what symptoms the person is having to gather information for the doctor, they also perform diagnostic tests and administer in medications. They also confer with the patients and families about treatment plans and follow ups. …show more content…
