Working hard is the definition of paystation. It is not an easy job, and that’s why I love it. I especially love the challenge of running the register and cleaning the dining room, but making sure everyone who comes in is helped quickly and has to wait as little as possible. I never thought working at Hy-Vee would make a difference in my life, though. At this job I was able to apply what I learned from working at Hy-vee and set a good example for my co-workers. My managers would often rely on me and compliment me on my job performance.
In addition to learning how to be hard-worker from Hy-Vee, I have also learned how to be efficient. It is more than just cleaning, restocking or sweeping, it is about creating a routine to maximize my time, allowing me to complete my to-do list during my shift. I have learned how to prioritize my tasks, such as cleaning or stocking during the slower times of my shift. This allows me to not rush at the end of night and focus my energy on other important tasks.
Being able to work efficiently has not only helped my work performance but also my school performance. I am able to complete all my homework in a shorter amount of time and have it done well. Before working at Hy-Vee it took me hours to complete my homework and I believe that is because I did not truly know how to work efficiently. Looking back, I can see the difference Hy-Vee has made on my life through my school work and my summer job. I am confident the skills of working hard and being efficient are something I will be able to take with me to future jobs and

Faith in Action Paper I spent my 15 faith service hours volunteering for Feed My Starving Children and I helped the maintenance crew around the school. While I did this I made new friends and grew as a person as well as in my faith. I probably spent about 8 or more of my service hours volunteering for Feed My Starving Children. Before when I was younger, I would go in because my older sister needed service hours and scoop some veggies and powder into a funnel for an hour and a half. Productivity A common trait among highly successful people is taking action, so be productive! Being busy doesn’t translate to productivity as we are always engaged in one activity or the other at every point in our lives-it could be sitting, working, breathing, eating, cooking, sleeping, chatting, etc. Rather than focusing on just any action, outcomes matter the most. Some people believe that workaholism involves a personal reluctance to disengage from work and a tendency to work or think about work anytime, anywhere. Hamilton and Denniss define that workaholics are those “who are driven by inner compulsion” (2005, p.12). While others define workaholism as a form of self-imposed expectation of their performance in work. According to Quick, Henley and Quick, this expectation “can be directly related to the level of psychological involvement one feels toward that role” (2005, p.39). In brief, workaholism is a psychological addiction to work and it is an illusion of needing to keep working continually.…
