Now the question arises, why is women empowerment important? “There is no chance of the welfare of the world unless the condition of women is improved. It is not possible for a bird to fly on one wing- Swami Vivekananda” (2012, Srva, Women Empowerment). Women empowerment has become one of the basic necessities of todays world. Countries progress when everyone, especially women, is given power to perform their task, not only in the field of education or research as well as on economic grounds. Women population set up to around “49.6%” (2016, Are there more men or more women in the world, N.D) making the ratio approximately equal to men. If the women are educated properly and given their rights, for which they have been demanding for, the world will develop at an exceptional level with both contributions of males and females. One of the most intense dissimilarity among man and women is their offering in the field of reproduction. Male think it’s in the hand of females to decide whether the child is going to be male or female. If a female is born, her mother is criticized, and harshly shattered, which results in the growth of repeated childbirth. In many cases, abortion of the female fetus occurs without having it on records. Sex division has always been an issue for females. Women have always been an innocent target for rapes. What a shameful act! Whenever a rape occurs, society always pays pity on the poor lady, but on one is ready to take a solid action. A feminine would not be able to fight the evil of the society all by herself. She needs our support and the best way for her to shine is to get a helping hand from mass media, i.e. via means of radio, broadcasting, and the press. Not only mass media, but even we should raise our voice against the injustice being done to them for ages. We belong to the 21st century and should change our mindset toward every female. We as a society should teach our children from their primary years to respect all women. It will not be enough if only we the people or the mass media handle the matter.
