The Importance Of Weather In All Summer In A Day By Ray Bradbury

Decent Essays
Bob Marley has once said, “the sun is shining, the weather is sweet. Its makes you want to move you’re dancing feet”. The humidity, temperature and hours of sunshine have the greatest effect on mood, which has been evidently shown in Ray Bradbury short story. In "All Summer in a Day", the mood of the characters switch constantly due to jealously of losing the remembrance of the sun, the emotional impact with the sun's presence, and the regret of restricting one to see the rare occasion of the sun making an appearance. This proves to show that weather can often have immense affect one's behaviour and emotions.

“All Summer in a Day” by Ray Bradbury, is a science fiction short story. Bradbury included a one of a kind setting, superior characterization, and an ending that allowed readers to create their own, using their imagination. The setting was unique and I would have never thought of an imaginable place like Venus. Margot is a shy and frail young girl and we notice this when Bradbury describes that she is an “old photograph” and talks like a “ghost.” Over the years, good short stories and novels have been transitioned into movie adaptation.…

The changes between Edith and her father is ever-changing, in the beginning her hostility towards her father is increasingly present when Braden, her father recalls how she said to her mother after the storm “Even then, she used that cold tone. “He’s here, mom.…
