Honolulu made walking and texting illegal in July of 2017. Anybody in Honolulu, Hawaii who would cross a street or highway while using any electronic device can be hit with a fine of up to $35 according to the law. Do you think walking and texting should be illegal? This could be dangerous for everyone around because you can get injured, the driver could get injured, or even others cautiously walking across the street close to you could get injured. BUt some people also think that there shouldn’t be a law because well it’s common sense to pay attention while walking. If you walk and text its just as dangerous as driving and texting so why do it?

They might say that it is just common sense and people should just understand. This is very close to what I was saying but they do not think it should be a illegal to walk and text. Some might say that if someone gets hurt, then, they will learn their lesson and not do it again. This is not true, because they may do it more then once and constantly pay or get terribly injured. You can use this money for so many things that you might actually need, like groceries or clothes. But now people only do the right thing if the wrong thing becomes a law.
