I believe that Texas has the lowest voter participation among the fifty states due to the fact that many minorities, and people who have a lower income and education level tend to not participate in voting. There are many reasons for this cause, for example, the majority of bystanders-people who do not participate in politics or voting, are minorities who have a low education level and income, and most of them are young adults. They may live in less populated areas, such as west Texas where there are not many big cities, and many of them are scattered throughout and they may not be getting enough information about their local campaigns, or they may live in south Texas, where there is an immense Hispanic population, but many of those cities have one of the most highest levels of poverty in Texas, and also lower educational levels and income.
