The Importance Of Volunteering At The Calf Fry Fundraiser

The most meaningful volunteer experience I have had is the Calf Fry Fundraiser at St. William Catholic Church in Durant, OK. This event was meaningful for a number of reasons. Although our parish is fairly small compared to some others, the calf fry is really an important fundraiser. The first calf fry was held in April of 2013. Several of our church members came up with the idea as a way to help raise money for our new Parish Hall and education building. We all knew it would not be easy task.
Volunteering at the Calf Fry Fundraiser was important to me. I know how much a new hall would benefit the whole Parish. It took a lot of work from a lot of people, but we pulled it off. The first year was a success, and the next two only brought more
