Hi everyone. I’d like to begin my speech by asking you to think about your life, everyday, from morning to night. Some of you guys work as a part time after school, some you go home and study or do absolutely nothing. (Pause) let me ask you one more thing. Have you ever felt unmotivated, depressed, thought that your life is boring and you want to change your current lifestyle and try new things? Because I have. And I think many people my age have experienced that kind of depression at some point of their life. But today I am here to tell you some great ways (Well, at least I think they are) to become a happy person like me and become happier with your life by doing something different from what you usually do. So, what are the …show more content…
This book tells us many things and within those things I thought the way I can explain it to you guys is by talking about travel, my personal experience based on my trips I have been, because I have found enlightenment through travelling, and they are related to what the book tells us, and also when I travel, I get the similar positive feelings which I also get by using the law of …show more content…
Try to discover new things, organize your thoughts, keep what you should keep, and remove what you should remove from your life. Thinking in a more optimistic way always comes first. That is the first thing you should do. To me traveling makes me happy, so I keep telling myself traveling is my treat. I set the goals, and to get that treat, I work hard for it. Travelling always teaches me that the way I have been looking at the world isn’t necessarily right and that isn’t the way everyone else does. I like the fact that I can get some inspirations from countries, people I meet, and places I go visit. I've traveled so many countries, and I personally think that traveling is what makes me step forward and let things go. It is kind of eliminate negativity and attract positivity. People I have met through my trips have become big part of my life. I mean having friends all over the world is amazing. You won’t feel alone anymore. You will be able to feel the connection from even just a few text conversations with your friends overseas. People think that traveling costs a lot of money but in fact, you don't need a lot of money to travel. You can be a

There are different types of traveling. We travel for vacationing and sight seeing, we travel because we want to get away from our daily routine, we travel to see our loved ones, to escape cold weather, to escape war and tyrant rulers, to look for a better life. Bedouin in the desert travel looking for water to sustain themselves and their livestock. One may doubt the logic of why someone would put aside money that is already scarcely distributed, just to travel. Other than the reasonable expense of travelling, it is also a matter of doing so while one is still able to. These two factors combined highlight the idea that there will be an increase of young people to go and do some traveling in their near future. As stated by Thompson, the era of underemployed graduates is “hardly over”. This means that more and more young people will be stuck in jobs that do not offer much potential in terms of wage growth, forcing them to deal with a situation that does not promise to secure their future.…

People who travel at an early age do succeed in their schooling and jobs. Rather than taking away from time when they could be studying, traveling provides a different sort of education for students and young adults, proving to give them a boost when they look for jobs. Author of, “How Millennials are Changing Travel,” Amanda Machado, states that, “My travels helped me obtain a summer job with Global Glimpse, an organization that takes disadvantaged students on educational trips through Nicaragua” (Machado). For Amanda, traveling secured her a paying job for the next stage of her life. Through the experiences she gained while traveling, she learned and grew as a person enough to be ready for a career in…

However, I have been lucky enough to experience many things, which I many people do not get to do, such as VIP boxes for soccer, hockey, racecars, etc. I have also travelled quite a bit for someone my age, as I have been to Europe, Australia, LA, Texas, Caribbean, around most of Canada as well. One reason I love travelling so much is you get to see other people’s way of life, even if it is a province or a country away many cultural or societal differences may…

By going abroad and having absorbed different landscapes, cultures, and values, I am able to analyze more complex problems and find new ways to solve them. I moved to Guatemala, where I first had a notion of life preservation through the Mayans, the Native Indian tribes. I went to reservations to provide assistance to the people and see the Mayan pyramids and was given a lecture by a leader of the community, who taught me about Mayan history and traditions as well as natural preservation, geography, and architecture. Being in this country, I learn how to appreciate other cultures and by being surrounded by beautiful landscapes I learned more about being aware of the world around me.…

This was the start of my passion to travel around the world. One memorable trip was one that I took with my family to Vietnam when I was twelve. Life was so different there compared to the one I have at home. From the lifestyle, people, culture, tradition, and even the environment. It was definitely amazing to see the world with new eyes and a different perspective.…

I love the amazing feeling of communicating with people in another language, even in cases where I only know simple words: when I went to South Korea last summer, people were delighted when I said, “annyeonghaseyo,” in greeting, and I felt proud even though I was only saying hello. It is invigorating as it is confusing for me to learn about the culture in other countries; when I was in Spain, I was surprised to learn that they do not eat lunch until two in the afternoon. The best feeling is walking around in the streets of an unfamiliar country, just breathing in the air while absorbing new and uniquely different sights. When I’m travelling, I become even grateful for surviving cancer. The world is so beautiful, and when I see more of it, I feel that I am living my life to the…

Traveling, to me, is something I view as almost magical. Everything you see has a history and a past that you have no idea about, the same goes for the people you pass by. With all of this in mind, I plan to stay curious about the world I live in for as long as I can.…

As such, young adults have for many years taken a year off of their studies to travel and gain a broader view of their world. Travelling in its classical sense can often mean a limited budget paired with a lack of amenities. Exploring foreign locations with a language barrier and new customs is an enriching experience, which allows for young adults to gain new traits, discover their limits and strengths, all while remaining resourceful and tolerant. To take the time to explore the world does…
