Have you ever wondered what it would be like to take a boat ride down the Nile River, or hiking through Denali National Park in Alaska? I have dreamed of traveling around the world and experiencing different cultures since I was a little girl. Although I’ve always had these dreams, I’ve also always wanted to help people and by achieving a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, a degree in travels, or a nursing degree I will be able to take these trips around the globe, experience different cultures and help those around the world who might need it. I first learned about other cultures and places around the world in detail in my ninth grade world geography class. This is a way to learn a language and experience a new culture. Even though working as an au pair won 't earn me a lot of money, it would provide me with a roof over my head, food, and plenty of time to explore and decide where my heart is pulling me. One benefit to this option is that Au pairs are needed all over the world and work is often part time, which means I could do it in many different countries within the same year. My experience in childcare is beneficial, but a personality match and open mind will be far more of a deal maker when I am searching for a family to stay …show more content…
A good option for this would be to work as a flight attendant. Some of the qualifications I will need to do this are the basic educational requirement for flight attendant. Although technically I would only be required to have a high school diploma or the equivalent, the airlines prefer college grads. The most common degree for flight attendants to have is a bachelors. And the next most common is an associate’s degree. Another qualification I will need to have is to graduate from an airline training program. Initial training usually takes between three and six weeks, including topics such as emergency procedures, first aid and flight regulations. I will have to make practice flights during training and must pass an exam for the Federal Aviation Administration Certificate of Demonstrated
