To communicate with consumer a company may use advertising as a way to promote their product. Advertising is any paid form of non-personal communication about an organization product, service or idea. Advertising has different purposes and has two types: product advertisement and institutional advertisement. Product advertisement takes three forms for selling a product or service: pioneering, competitive and reminder. On the other hand institutional advertisement is to build an image for the organization rather than promote a particular product. They each identify a target audience, specify advertising objectives, set a budge, design the advisement, select the right media, and finally schedule the advertising.

For a company or institution to grow, it must build strong customer relationships. Advertising helps to keep consumers informed about new products and services that are now available. This would affect the ease of how Facebook users use the social outlet. A traditional advertisement approach is less likely to reach many people at once.
