Our beautiful natural environment shares the highest score with a sense of safety that visitors get in our country with a score of 9.1. The lowest score is food and beverage but even that is as high as 8.0. Most of the reason for dissatisfaction for tourists is the cost of food, accommodation and transport. 33% of visitors scored our food and beverage less than 8 out of 10, most of this is quality verses price. Tourists believe the you do not get value for money and a lack of choice also contributes to the low score. Accommodating fared slightly better with 21% of visitors scoring less than 8 out of 10 the primary reason for this is the lack of free internet access, with two thirds of visitors accessing Wi-Fi while in New Zealand. I personally believe this is not worth such a low score since there are many other ways to get in touch with loved ones on holiday, In saying that I understand business travelers would prefer to have internet access to complete any work that they may have to do on their trip.
