Through the time the author was in Arembepe he observed the growth of the economy and the changes that helped it increase. Arembepe was a village were fishing was the heart the village. When the author arrived for his fieldwork he noticed that things have changed such as the village which became a beach town. Within the first two days of the author being in Arembepe he was shocked by all the thing he was seeing because they were so much different than what he encountered the last time he was there. One way it has changed is the business aspect, to start a business now and days a person needs to certify and needs to pass some inspection before they could even start a business. Unlike back then where people did not need much certification they only needed an open space and supplies to start their business. Another thing that has changed and advanced is tourism.
